The world’s 5th biggest fair and an important event for the global tourism industry, EMITT- the East Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Exhibition gets ready to host tourism professionals and vacationers from all around the world.  The traditional exhibition organized since 1997 will take place on 9-12 February 2012 at the TUYAP Exhibition Center in Beylikduzu, Istanbul.

The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT) is organised by EKIN (part of the ITE Group) and assumes a major role in Turkey’s position as the world’s seventh biggest tourism country. The 16th edition of EMITT, creating opportunities for both inbound and outbound tourism, attracts tourism professionals from all over the world. National tourism agencies, tour operators and hotels, as well as more than 150 towns and cities within Turkey and regional development agencies started to prepare for the EMITT Fair which was visited by 52.800 native and non-native tourism professionals last year. The attendance of regional development agencies is expected to be even more than last year’s.

Although  EMITT is to be opened months later, 85% of the booths at TUYAP have already been sold. EMITT, the trigger of the Turkish tourism market, will this time host its visitors in all  of the 11 booths due to high level of interest to the event. The fair events will be held at 60.500 m² space.
